Two Staffordshire Pottery Toby Jugs, England, late 18th/early 19th century, each a standard figure and decorated in underglaze enamels, one modeled with a pitcher resting atop his knee, a pipe resting to his forearm, ht. 9 5/8; the other with frothing tankard to one hand, a pipe in the other and a spaniel by his side, ht. 9 3/8 in.

Condition
Condition: 9 5/8" toby: Three slight hairlines to brim; 3/8" hairline to brim, more evident on the inner edge than the outer edge; pitcher with edge roughness and rim repair; glaze loss to many buttons on his coat.
9 3/8" toby: In "as is" condition with very poor, discolored and old restorations to hat brim, pipe and hand, froth, feet and front of base. Also to hairline running under the base and up the backside.
