Two Spode Transfer-printed India Pattern Plates, England, c. 1815-1830, two earthenware dinner plates with an indented shape, one printed in blue and painted in four colors with the India pattern, the other printed in blue with the India pattern, printed on the back with the inscription “This BLUE WARE is printed from the CALX of British COBALT produced from Wheal Sparnon Mine in the County of Cornwall August 1816,” impressed Spode and printed workman's marks, dia. 9 3/4 in.

Condition
Condition: Blue example in good condition with professional restoration to a hairline crack and on small chip to the rim. The other in very good condition.
