- Lot Description
Tiffany & Co. Sterling Silver Larchmont Yacht Club Trophy, New York, c. 1886, the cup with a gold-washed interior and engraved "Won By Clara/Larchmont Yacht Club/Pennant regattas./June 5th and October 2nd/1886," with two looped handles joined to a flared circular foot by bifurcated, imitation bamboo arms, ht. 13 in., approx. 36.6 troy oz.
N.B. N.B. The Clara was a fifty-three foot cutter designed by William Fife Jr., captained by Charlie Barr, and owned by Dr. John C. Barron.
