- Lot Description
Three Transfer-printed Chinoiserie Pattern Jugs, England, c. 1800-1825, an octagonal earthenware jug printed in blue underglaze with the Curling Palm pattern, ochre enameling on the handle and rim, unmarked, ht. 5 3/4; an earthenware jug printed in blue underglaze in the Cameleopard and Rider pattern, ochre enameling on rim, unmarked, ht. 5 3/4; and another earthenware jug in the Cameleopard and Rider pattern, printed in chrome green underglaze with brown enameling on the rim, unmarked, ht. 5 3/4 in.
Provenance: The Zeller Collection.Condition
Condition: Blue Cameleopard jug: Good condition with restoration to the beek and collar of the jug.
Green Cameleopard jug: Good condition with 2 in. hairline in the collar of the jug.
Curling Palm jug: Very good condition with no evidence of damage or repairs.
