Three Historical Liverpool Transfer-decorated Creamware Jugs, first half 19th century, a large jug lettered "SUCCESS to AMERICA" further decorated by an eagle surrounded by the states in rings on one side and a two-masted vessel on the other and with faint vestiges of gilding, another jug celebrating Commodore Preble, and a smaller jug celebrating Commodore Rogers, (hairlines, discoloration, repairs), ht. to 9 1/4 in.

Condition: Referencing the catalog photograph, the jug on the left has overall staining, a small chip in the rim, restored spout, evidence of restoration on the rim and a small chip on the base; the center jug, wear and significant loss to the rim gilding and restored spout; the jug on the right, restored crack extending down into the portrait, evidence of restored chips on the rim, evidence of restoration on the base and in areas of the body.
