Note: The Hertfordshire chronometer clock collection by Thomas Mercer Ltd. was produced in four variations: HCH1: eight-day clock with fusee-wound spring-driven movement; HCH2: half-minute electrical contacts; HCH3: no contacts; HCH4: half second contacts. These were used were there was no personal supervision such as observatories, laboratories, factories, and lighthouses. The electrically wound mechanism works from a 12 volt D.C. and has six hours reserve.
