The Morgan Cup Sterling Silver Repousse Wine Cooler Awarded to the Schooner Sachem, Thomas Wimbush, London, England, c. 1829-30, urn-form, with repousse grape and leaf rim, rose and thistle body on a footed base with acorns and oak leaves, the front engraved "MORGAN CUP/Won by/SCHOONER SACHEM/Vineyard Haven to Marblehead/Aug. 8th 1887/Presented by/J. Pierpont Morgan," ht. 13 1/4, dia. 16 in., wt. about 184 troy oz.
