Silver-plated and Custom Engraved Colt Model 1873 Single-action Army Revolver, 1895, serial number 161049, .45 Colt caliber, 20th century custom engraving overall with scrolling foliate patterns, shell decorations, and patterned background, top of the barrel marked "COLT'S PT. F.A. MFG. CO HARTFORD CT U.S.A.," and "45 COLT.," left side of frame marked "PAT. SEPT. 19, 1871,/JULY 2, 72, JAN. 19, 75.," with rampant horse within a circle, inside of loading gate marked "747," blued-steel cylinder pin, screws and trigger, ivory grips, all visible serial numbers match, barrel lg. 5 1/2, overall lg. 11 in.
Condition
Condition: Plating is completely intact and has very minor tarnish, grips have age/shrinkage cracks, bore is bright with strong rifling, action is crisp.
