Fifty-one watercolors on paper, sizes to 5 5/8 x 7 5/8 in. (13.5 x 19.5 cm), glued onto bound album pages.
Condition: Various watercolors with toning, foxing, and staining, album decased and the sewing has perished, some album pages with small tears stabilized with cellophane tape.
Provenance: From the collection of Henry Heillig, the owner's father.

Condition: Album with red leather cover and 36 pages measuring 9 1/8 x 7 in. Watercolors are numbered on their mounts in pencil from 259 to 313, with a few pages now with blanks, glue stains indicating where a watercolor was removed from the original album. Custom slip case stamped "ALBUM/J.M.W. TURNER" in goldon the spine.
Inscribed "JA/113" in two places just inside the front cover, with a gummed label inscribed "387" on the front cover and also inside the front cover.
