- Lot Description
Pottery Caparisoned Horse, China, Tang dynasty-style, the horse with one hoof raised in the air, wearing a richly ornamented harness and saddle, with traces of cream, red, green, gray, and black pigment, standing on a rhomboid pottery base, horse ht. 21, including base 23 1/2 in.
Note: No technical examination done.
Estimate $15,000-20,000
legs have been repaired, tail is cracked, cracks have been glued in several areas, particularly around the saddle, other small areas have been filled in.
