Ink on paper, 2 1/2 x 4 1/4 in. (6.0 x 11.5 cm), framed.
Condition: Curling and toning to sheet.

Frame dimensions: 10 1/2 x 12 3/4 in. (26.8 x 32.4 cm).
The provenance information is written in pen on the frame backing. One of the unattributed labels is written in ink and includes provenance "Ex: Zadok Collection." The second unattributed label is typed on graph paper. There is also a gummed label inscribed in ink "P. Bonnard/J" on the frame backing.
Charles Zadok (d. 1984) was an executive with Gimbels department store, and he began his career in 1929 managing the Gimbel-Saks buying office in Paris. During his travels in Europe and Latin America, he started collecting art. He was a charter member of the Museum of Modern Art's International Council and the Robert Lehman Art Foundation and Trust. After Mr. Lehman's death, Mr. Zadok supervised the installation of the Lehman art collection in the Metropolitan Museum.
