- Lot Description
Paint-decorated Painter's Cabinet, Maine, early 19th century, the blue-painted case of twenty drawers with scrolled red and brown designs, identifying contents such as "Rose Pink," "Gum Shellac," and "Indigo: Beng:," etc., all bordered with red, ht. 24, wd. 48, dp. 11 1/8 in.
Provenance: Hanna P. Buxton, an artist and reclusive potter in the early 19th century; Buxton Family, Bethel, Maine; Barry Freeman, Patricia Struble; Jean Curtin.

Some paint loss on dividers. Unpainted top and ends.
