Femme au char triomphal, 1949. Unsigned, dated "X.XI.49" l.l., labels from the Hammer Galleries, New York, affixed to the frame. Unique hand-painted, glazed terra-cotta tile, 9 11/16 x 13 in. (24.5 x 33.0 cm), framed.
Condition: Repaired break to l.r. quadrant, small chip to bottom edge (toward verso, not affecting the face).
Provenance: From the estate of the artist to the estate of Jacqueline Picasso; through to Etienne Sassi, Inc.; through to the Hammer Galleries, New York, to the current private Massachusetts collection.
