Near Pair of Needlework Pictures of Fruiting Grapevines, probably England, late 18th century, each worked in silk and metallic threads on linen ground, the vines issuing from blue bowls with scalloped edges, (slight fading and water staining) 12 x 9 3/4 in. (sight), in period molded black-painted and parcel-gilt frames.
Provenance: According to tags affixed to the reverse, these pictures have history in the Swift family of Virginia.
