N.B. Berrocal produced this articulated and interlocking puzzle sculpture, comprised of sixteen discrete elements (excluding the base), in an edition of 2,000, in Italy in1966-67. Romeo e Giulietta, 1967, Berrocal, Instrucciones para el montaje (Verona, Italy: Berrocal/Arcangelo, 1967), accompanies the lot, and serves as its certificate of authenticity (the artist considered this book an integral part of the artwork).

Condition: The Fundación Escultor Berrocal recommends polishing the sculpture to a high shine by applying a brass and metal polish (in particular, ZEP FIVE STAR™ Brass and Metal Polish) and buffing with an ultra-soft undyed cotton cloth.
