Marc Chagall (Russian/French, 1887-1995)
Chagall Lithographs, volumes I-VI, published by Editions André Sauret, Paris, each volume in a different year. Sizes 13 x 9 1/2 in. (33.0 x 24.3 cm), each with its original pictorial dust jacket (four of which are lithographic; the last two are offset).
Condition: Wear, nicks and some ink loss to dust jackets (especially along upper and lower edges and at corners), edges of pages darkened, each volume includes each of the lithographs with which they were originally published.Condition
Condition: Volume I with 11 original lithographs plus the cover; Volume II with 11 plus cover; Volume III 1 plus cover; Volume IV 1 plus cover; Volumes V & VI with none, all as published.
Volumes I has the most wear to its cover of the group. Volume I and II have more prevalent toning to the edges of the pages; II and IV have slightly less; and V and VI have almost none. Volume III has no plastic protector over its jacket. Boards to volume VI slightly curved.
