Lot Description

Large Collection of Relics from Various French & Indian War and Revolutionary War Sites, 18th century, including a leather bayonet scabbard with a note reading "Found on Beach Lighthouse Point Louisbourg"; a frame with artifacts from Fort Haldimand including English ceramics nails, spigot, and door lock; a frame with two large pocket knives, a pair of scissors, and a fragment of wood from the "Revenge"; a frame with artifacts from Yorktown, and West Point including export porcelain, glass, gunflint, nail, musket shot, pipe stem, grape shot, shoe buckle frame, and a fragment of a guard from a Lafayette Corps of Continental Light Infantry sword; a frame labeled "Rev War Camp Debris" including buttons, gunflints, musket shot, musket parts, buckles, keys, ceramics, and knife blades; a frame labeled "Revolutionary War F&I War - Military Camp Debris" including buttons, buckles, coins, gunflints, gun parts, ceramics, fish hooks, tinkling cones, pipe stems, and lead fragments; a frame with an iron spike, blade, fork tines, pipe stem, and fragment of bottle glass; and in bags an ice creeper, draft horseshoe from Lake George, ax blade fragment, ox shoe, neck stock buckle frame, musket shot from Brandywine, a buckle from Bemis Heights, dice, a trade ring, a lead button mold, one half of a lead mold for counterfeiting a George III halfpenny, shoe buckles, equipment buckles sword guard fragment, musket parts, a fleur-de-lis plate fragment, and a small grappling hook from West Point.
