Kurd Pillow and a Flatwoven Mafresh, Northwest Persia, early 20th century, the pillow featuring four ivory confronting serrated and hooked devices flanked by polychrome geometric motifs on a midnight blue field, within a contiguous hooked "S" border, 1 ft. 6 in. x 1 ft. 7 in., the mafresh with two wide maroon horizontal bands inset with latch-hooked medallions in shades of blue, ivory, and light red, enclosed by narrower bands of brocaded latch-hooked diamonds and stripes in shades of beige, brown, and red, 4 ft. 4 in. x 3 ft. 3 in.
