- Lot Description
Kawase Hasui (1883-1957), Four Woodblock Prints, Japan, Moon at Nakajima, Sapporo, 1933, posthumous edition; Moon over Umagome, 1930, no publisher's seal; Moon over Arakawa River, Akabane, 1929, reprint; and Kiyosumi Garden in the Moonlight, 1938, later edition, all published by Watanabe, oban tate-e, to 15 1/2 x 10 1/2 in.
Condition: Nakajima with a crease to a corner, white remover marks to bottom margin, handwriting in pen to top right margin; Umagome with a crease, water damage, slightly out of register, white remover marks to bottom margin, handwriting in pen on margin, a pinhole to upper left corner, stains from gluing on verso; Arakawa with repair to a bottom right, a pinhole to upper left, discoloration, stains from gluing on verso; Kiyosumi with a pinhole to upper left, slightly out of register.
