Note: Note: Risom graduating from the prestigious Kundstandvaerkerskolen in Copenhagen. The first true Knoll designer, Risom joined the young Hans Knoll Furniture Company in the early 1940s as the sole designer of interiors and furniture. After serving under General George S. Patton in World War II, Risom launched his own firm, Jens Risom Design (JRD), in 1946. Risom's reputation as a furniture designer continued to grow, and Risom began to promote Scandinavian design in home furniture to the broader American public.

Condition: Wear consistent with age and use. Original Upholstery is in usable condition and has some wear due to its age. Foam is still firm, but not hard.
