Inscribed "Taken Feb. 5 1841 Aged 4 Yrs. 9 mo. By J.A. Davis" at the bottom, identified in the composition.
Watercolor, ink, and pencil on paper, 7 3/4 x 6 in., in a red-painted frame.
Condition: Minor toning.
