Condition: Full sheet with deckled edges, margins glued to facing mat, toning, mat burn, staining.
N.B. The sitter is Annie Harriet Haden (1848-1937), the daughter of artist Francis Seymour Haden (1818-1910). Whistler stayed with the family in early 1858 at their home in Sloane Street, London. At this time Annie was nine years old.
Condition
Condition: The sheet measures 10 1/4 x 7 3/8 inches. There are old hinges to one edge. The staining includes corregated cardboard marks visible primarily on the verso. The frame measures 13 3/4 x 11 1/2 x 1 inch.
