N.B. Among his many talents and interests, Henry Hotchkiss Townshend Jr. was a responsible breeder of English setters, who trained his dogs for field trials throughout the country. He was the former president and director of Amateur Field Trial Clubs of America. In recognition of his accomplishments, Mr. Townshend was entered in the National Field Trial Hall of Fame in 1987.
The lot is accompanied by a framed photographic reproduction of H.H. Townshend's 1975 painting of his dog, "Regent."
