George Grim Walnut Tall Clock, Orwigsbury, Pennsylvania, c. 1825, swan's neck hood with carved rosettes, flame-turned finials and central plinth, sides with tree-form decorated viewing windows, four freestanding turned columns flanking the 13-in. arabic numeral painted iron dial marked as above, with moon's phase in the arch, full-length waist door flanked by turned quarter-columns, base with inset molded panel, all on ogee bracket feet, eight-day time and hour-strike movement with cut-out plates, regulated by pendulum and two iron weights, ht. 82 in.
Condition
Condition: case in very good condition. lacking one carved finial, the other two are not an exact pair, feet are good with small restoration, hands possible old replacements, small plinths on hood have 20th century nails and most likely added. Height is without finials.
