Condition: All edges deckled, minor soiling and fingerprints to margins and verso,
B-1 with old hinges to verso, minor tear to upper margin, minor creasing from printing, and pale green staining to darkest areas of ink (more visible on verso).
Provenance: Descended within the family of the artist.
N.B. There were two proof states of this composition, designated A and B, before the published version. Many more shadows were added to the published state, creating a largely silhouetted effect on the ducks, and reeds were added to the left side.
