Assembled sculpture dimensions 3x3x3 in. Board dimensions 31 1/2 x 31 1/2 x 1/4 in. All pieces have base dimensions of 1x1 in. with variable ht. to 3 in.
Each chess piece doubles as a puzzle piece in a pair of elegant postmodern sculptures by the Italian architect Franco Rocco (b. 1939). Number 300 of 1000, this chess set comes with a signed certificate of authenticity by the artist, and the original wooden crate housing both puzzle cubes, stenciled "S 300" on the lid. The artist's signature accompanies the numbered edition on each side's "queen," and is repeated along with the sculpture's title on the board.
Original assembly/disassembly instructions included. Both puzzle cubes are complete and fully functional.
Condition
Condition: Very minor surface scratches on some pieces owing to the assembly and disassembly process. The mirrored paint on the board is partially dtuck to the paper backing, owing either to a manufacturing defect or improper storage.
