Four Transfer-printed Chinoiserie Mugs, England, c. 1790-1820, earthenware mug with brown slip transfer printed overglaze in a rusty yellow color with a variation Two Figures pattern, white slip on the interior, unmarked, ht. 4 1/4, dia. 4 1/4; brownware mug printed in yellow overglaze, white slip on the interior and molded leaf terminals, engine turned, unmarked, ht. 5, dia. 3 1/4; pearlware mug printed in blue with a line-engraved Buffalo pattern, unmarked, ht. 4 3/4, dia. 3 1/2; and an earthenware mug printed in blue underglaze in the Flying Pennant pattern, unmarked, ht. 5 1/4, dia. 4 1/2 in.
Provenance: The Zeller Collection.Condition
Condition: Two Figures, Fruit Gatherers, and Flying Pennant pattern mugs: each in very good condition with no sign of damage or repairs.
Buffalo pattern mug: Very good condition with one small chip on the base.
