Washington, George (1732-1799) Official Letters to the Honourable American Congress, Written during the War between the United Colonies and Great Britain, Boston: Manning & Loring, 1796, two volumes, second Boston edition, fully bound in mottled leather, with a red leather gilt-lettered spine label, frontispiece portrait of Washington engraved by S. Hill, wear to the spine and edges of the board, slight separation between boards and spine, 7 x 4 1/4 in.; Longworth's American Almanac, New-York Register, and City Directory, New York: Thomas Longworth, 1834, bound in publisher's original boards, inscribed on the front pastedown "Office of the Evening Post 49 William St New York," "Evening Post Office" inscribed on fore edge and "1834-5" on tail edge, stains and chipping to front and back boards, foxing throughout, 7 1/2 x 4 1/4 in.; Erskine, John (1879-1951) Uncle Sam in the Eyes of His Family, Indianapolis: The Bobbs-Merrill Company, 1930, limited autographed edition, number 334 of 356 copies with a page of the original manuscript corrected and initialed by the author, fully bound in red cloth, gilt-lettered on spine, blind-stamped on front cover, with ribbon bookmarker, housed in a red cloth slipcase with a paper spine label, 9 x 6 1/2 in.; Major W. Jackson Monuments of Washington's Patriotism, Washington: P. Force, 1838, fully bound in crimson straight-grain leather, blind-tooled and gilt-stamped on front and back covers, frontispiece portrait lithograph by P. Hass, chipping to head and tail of spine, slight separation at head and tail of the joints, stains to front and back boards, foxing throughout, 14 x 9 1/4 in.
