Force, 1838, fully bound in crimson straight-grain leather, blind-tooled and gilt-stamped on front and back covers, frontispiece portrait lithograph by P. Hass, chipping to head and tail of spine, slight separation at head and tail of the joints, stains to front and back boards, foxing throughout, 14 x 9 1/4 in.
