Flintlock Holster Pistol and a Percussion Pocket Pistol, early to mid-19th century, the flintlock pistol with 8 in., .64 caliber round barrel with London proof marks at the breech and engraved "LONDON" on the top, double bridle lock with flat plate, stepped and pointed tail, engraved "GRIERSON" below the pan, likely for London gun maker Charles Grierson; walnut stock, brass furniture including butt cap with simple line engraving, oval thumbpiece, trigger guard with acorn finial, pointed side plate, and two rammer pipes, wood rammer with brass tip, overall lg. 13 1/2 in.; and a percussion pocket pistol with 2 1/2 in., 0.32 caliber round barrel numbered "276" on the bottom, steel frame, walnut grips, overall lg. 5 1/2 in.
Condition
Condition: Flintlock pistol has small patch of wood fill repair behind the cock and around barrel pins, barrel toned to a mottled gray with fine underling pitting, lock toned to deep gray, stock has minor dings and dents; pocket pistol metal toned to light gray, grips with minor dings and dents.
