Five Documents Relating to Congressman John F. Kennedy's 1952 Senatorial Campaign. Including a John F. Kennedy TLS to Dick [Richard S. Kelley], 14 August 1952 on Congress of the United States letterhead expressing Kennedy's gratitude for Kelley's work in circulating the nomination papers noting that with his help a record number of signatures were collected and concluding that "we can look forward to a smashing victory in November," signed "John Kennedy" in blue ink, (folds), 9 x 6 1/4 in.; a Western Union Telegram from JFK addressed to Richard Kelley dated 18 September 1952 wishing Kelley luck in his efforts at encouraging voter registration noting that "Registration is the key to victory," (folds, small tear u.r. corner), 5 3/4 x 8 in.; a Richard Kelley carbon copy TL to John F. Kennedy, Boston, 25 September 1952 regarding the efforts of William J. Griffin in the campaign who is seeking a position with the Air Force Office in Cambridge, with second page noting qualifications, (toned), 11 x 8 1/2 in.; Robert F. Kennedy, TLS to Richard Kelley, 26 September 1952 on John F. Kennedy for U.S. Senator Headquarters letterhead inviting Kelley to attend a dinner at the Parker House in Boston for the purpose of meeting JFK and discussing the campaign, (folds, holes at right margin), 11 x 8 1/2 in.; and a Western Union Telegram from JFK to Richard Kelley dated 30 October 1952 noting that the reports leading up to the election are looking excellent and "Let's finish the job on election day," (folds), 5 3/4 x 8 in.
