- Lot Description
Five Blue Transfer Plates, England, c. 1785-1820, an earthenware side plate printed in dark blue underglaze with the Buffalo pattern, unmarked, dia. 8; an earthenware side plate printed in blue underglaze in the Pavilion and Landscape with Zig Zag Fence pattern, unmarked, attributed to Wedgwood, dia. 8 3/8; a Leeds Pottery earthenware plate printed in blue underglaze with the Great Wall of China pattern, impressed mark, dia. 9 1/4; an octagonal indented earthenware dinner plate printed in blue underglaze with the Parasol and Bridge pattern, unmarked, attributed to Sowter, dia. 9 1/2; and an earthenware plate printed in blue underglaze with line-engraved Conversation pattern, unmarked, attributed to Leeds Pottery, dia. 9 3/4 in.
Provenance: The Zeller Collection.Condition
Condition: Each plate in very good condition. Pavilion and Landscape with Zig Zag Fence pattern plate has a rim chip on the underside of the plate.
