Fine Sapphire, South Sea Pearl, and Diamond Necklace, Cartier, the pendant set with a cushion-cut sapphire measuring approx. 17.84 x 14.72 x 12.20 mm, and weighing 30.20 cts., framed by full-cut diamonds, suspended from a necklace of South Sea pearls graduating in size from approx. 10.00 to 11.00 mm, with diamond rondels, and completed by a sapphire and diamond clasp, total diamond wt. 14.59 cts., lg. 17 5/8 in., no. 869810, signed.
Note: Accompanied by AGL report no. CS69030, dated July 15, 2015, stating that the sapphire is Classic Ceylon, no gemological evidence of heat.
Estimate $125,000-150,000
Accompanied by an Estimate for Insurance from Cartier, Boston, dated August 10, 2001, stating the weight of the sapphire is 30.20 cts., the diamond wt. is 14.59 cts., E/F, VS2 or better, the smaller sapphire is 3.57 cts. Also included is GIA report no. 10433910 dated August 24, 1998, stating that the sapphire is natural, natural color, no evidence of heat treatment.
