Export Porcelain Vessel, China, early 19th century, the bulbous upper section joined by ring turning to a domed base, polychrome floral decoration surrounds a scene of a figure on horseback with a second figure beside him, apparently based on John Trumbull's 1820 oil painting Surrender of Cornwallis, ht. 5 1/4 in.
Note: On January 27, 2014, Christie's New York sold a similarly decorated fruit basket stand, as Lot 434.
