Enamel and Gilt-metal Singing Bird Box and Clock, late 19th/early 20th century, engraved and fully enameled case with ovoid lid with a scene of a courting couple and attendant, on landscape ground with sheep, the sides with small landscape roundels on hunter green ground, and with white enamel banding throughout, hinged arabic numeral clock located on the case front, marked "Angelus," the bird with red, black, and iridescent green feathers, engraved decorated border on case bottom with leather inset feet, wd. 4, dp. 3, ht. 2 in.

Condition: bird actuated by slide lever on case front. Bird in very good condition and functioning as intended. 8-day clock with alarm, time functioning, alarm is not. No loss to enamel.
