Eight Frank Gehry Fog Chairs Aluminum, steel
Design date 1999, manufactured by Knoll Studios
Metallic gray seat and back on tubular aluminum legs, the seat flexes for comfort, enamel loss, ht. 31 3/4, seat ht. 17 1/2, wd. 21, dp. 24 in.
Provenance: MIT Stata Center, an academic complex designed by Pritzker Prize-winning architect Frank Gehry.
Note: One of Gehry's more recent designs, incorporating his knowledge of calculus and geometry.
