Edward Henderson (American, b. 1951)
The Bottom Pledge: A Diptych. Initialed "EH" l.l. on one panel, signed titled, signed, and dated "...E. HENDERSON 1984-86" on both stretchers, with exhibition labels from the Whitney Museum of American Art (see below) affixed to both stretchers and hanging tags from Braswell Galleries affixed to hanging rings on both works. Oil on canvas with inlaid metal, each panel 96 x 72 in., unframed. Condition: Scattered areas of craquelure, scattered small paint losses near edges, scattered abrasions.
