A Summerland (Rainy Day, Ploughman - Noon), 1829. The former identified faintly within the plate, the latter with pencil annotations including "Early proof-" to lower margin. Mezzotints on laid and wove papers, respectively, plate sizes approximately 7 1/8 x 9 7/8 in. (18.1 x 25.1 cm), unmatted, unframed.
Condition: Both with gentle toning, soiling, and pale fox marks,
Sarum with deckled upper edge, glue reside and minor loss to lower margin, and light staining;
Summerland with pencil annotations and old hinges to verso.
Provenance: Purchased by the current owner from Gerrish Fine Art, London, May, 2018.
