u: one 1.5cm, two 1.75cm, one 2.25cm, four 2.75cm, two 5cm, one 6cm, oxidation and light bin wear to capsules, corrosion to seven capsule bases (one with losses and heavily corrosion to top of capsule), six slightly depressed corks, one wrinkled capsule, three lightly stained labels, light glue striping, evidence of old seepage to four
"A monumentally spicy nose of stunning breed and complexity leads to medium-full, beautifully delineated yet velvet-textured flavors that offer incredible length that just goes on and on. The richness and elegance are nothing short of phenomenal and this is in incredible condition for a 50 year old wine and if well-stored, should continue to hold without difficulty. In a word, awesome! Three other recent bottles were still lovely but not quite at the same level as the one described above. In sum, like many '66s today impeccable storage is paramount to enjoying a great example because when it isn't the wines are becoming too fragile to overcome it." Burghound, 96 pts. 10/16
