Colt Model 1873 Single-action Army Revolver, 1903, serial number 249089, modified to .22 caliber, blued-steel frame and barrel, top of barrel marked "COLT'S PT. F.A. MFG. Co. HARTFORD CT. U.S.A.," left side of frame marked "PAT. SEPT. 19. 1871,/JULY 2. 72. JAN. 19. 75." with rampant horse in circle, checkered black hard rubber grips with rampant horse medallions, inside loading gate marked "8696," all visible serial numbers match, barrel sleeved down to .22 caliber and shortened to 4 3/4 in., cylinder is sleeved to accept .22 cartridges and hammer is modified for rimfire cartridges; with unmarked leather holster.
