Berry, Medic in the 307th Field Artillery, 78th Division, c. 1918, .45 caliber, serial number 292804, checkered walnut grips, Colt patent markings on the left side of the slide, marked "UNITED STATES PROPERTY" on the frame, right side of the slide marked "MODEL OF 1911 U.S. ARMY," with a two-tone magazine, holster, gas mask marked "WC BERRY/MD/307 FA," a medic armband, a folding writing wallet marked "W.C. BERRY./M.D./307 F.A./A.E.F.," a 78th Division painted Model 1917 helmet and liner, a German Model 1895 spiked helmet, leggings and leg wraps, two shelter halves, a history of the 307th field artillery, maps, 78th Division newspapers, and Berry's discharge paper.

Note: Walter Berry was inducted into the army on February 26, 1918, at Hackensack, New Jersey. He was involved in the St. Mihiel offensive, Meuse-Argonne, and fighting around the Toul sector.

Some very light spotting on the frame but overall in very good condition with good bore. The action functions properly, the shelter halfs and other gear are dirty, and the German spike helmet has some damage from age.
