Whaling with minor rippling, not examined out of frames.

Whaling was a mid-1950s design for Leighton's series of Wedgwood plates depicting New England industries.
The lot is accompanied by a photographic reproduction of Audubon's watercolor of the Red-bellied Woodpecker, Northern Flicker, Yellow-bellied Sapsucker, Lewis's Woodpecker, and Hairy Woodpecker in an antique frame.

Thoreau, Under the Greenwood, and Compass Grass all housed in a single frame measuring 15 1/4 x 9 1/4 x 1 in.
Whaling frame measures 16 x 16 x 3/4 in.
