Flowers of Natal No. 2
Signed and inscribed "Cecil Kennedy/UVONGO/NATAL" lower right, titled in the artist's hand on the stretcher, further inscribed "Painted in Uvongo Natal in the Spring Oct-Nov-Dec 1982" on the stretcher.
Oil on linen, 20 x 16 in. (50.5 x 41.0 cm), framed.
Condition: Small (1/2 in.) horizontal line of craquelure with slight lifting to background at upper right edge.Condition
Condition: Framed dimensions are 26 1/4 x 22 1/4 x 2 1/4 inches.
Titled Spring on a presentation plaque on the front of the frame.
Linen (canvas) with a stamp from G. Roberson & Co., Ltd., London, on the reverse.
Notes about the proper interval for varnishing also recorded by the artist on the stretcher.
Frame with a label from MacConnal-Mason & Son Ltd., London.
