British School, 19th/20th Century
The Maiden's Blush Rose
Unsigned, titled and with a stamp from Lechertier Barbe Ltd., 95 Jermyn Street,
London, on the stretcher, a label from The Rowley Gallery, London, affixed to the frame verso, and with a conservator's label from Gilman Studios, Inc., Amesbury, Massachusetts, on the frame backing.
Oil on canvas, 20 1/8 x 18 1/8 in. (51.3 x 46.0 cm), framed.
Condition: Fine craquelure, varnish inconsistencies.
N.B. According to the National Portrait Gallery British Artists' Suppliers index, Lechertier Barbe Ltd. remained in business at 95 Jermyn Street from 1898 until 1970.

With a label from The Rowley Gallery, London, affixed to the back of the frame, and with a conservator's label from Gilman Studios, Inc, Amesbury, Massachusetts, on the frame backing.
With a stamp from Lechertier Barbe Ltd, 95 Jermyn Street, London, on the stretcher. According to the National Portrait Gallery British Artists' Suppliers index, Lechertier Barbe Ltd remained in business at 95 Jermyn Street from 1898 until 1970
