Breguet No. 2835 Astronomical Quarter-repeating Watch, sold on March 23, 1825, 18kt gold two-part engine-turned case by Pierre-Benjamin Travernier, no. 3331 with bayonet back, and original Breguet short chain, engine-turned dial with offset silver roman numeral chapter ring, signed "Breguet et Fils," subsidiary seconds, slow/fast regulator indicator, and aperture for phase of the moon above 12, gilt-brass 19-caliber movement with female barrel winding, counterpoised straight line lever escapement with jeweled pallets and long lever, two-arm compensated bimetallic balance with inner adjustment screws inset in the rim, parachute shock absorber, blued-steel flat balance spring with terminal curves, repeating on single gong with hammer, and striking on a steel intermediate block, dia. 49 mm.
