Carved Mahogany Quarter-chiming Hall Clock, Boston, first quarter 20th century, cast brass pineapple finials atop the carved and applied decorated hood with pierced brass side sound frets, fluted corner columns flanking the composite brass roman numeral dial, silvered chime/silent and Whittington/Westminster chimes, subsidiary dials in the arch, seconds dial, cast brass spandrels, engraved decorated center, and arched name boss, tapered beveled glass waist door, shell-inset base panel, heavy carved paw feet, eight-day, three-train movement with chimes on eight bells and five gongs, regulated by a brass-faced pendulum and three brass-cased weights, ht. 96 in. with finial.
Condition
Condition: appears to be original finish, two side hood moldings off but present, case needs cleaning, mold present on back, movement complete but needs overhaul.
