Signed "B.C. 1862" l.l., the back inscribed "Horn Pond Woburn Dec. 16 63/Painted by B. Champney."
Oil on board, 6 x 8 in., in a molded gilt-gesso frame.
Condition: No obvious evidence of retouch.
Provenance: Skinner, November 1983, Sale 938, Lot 4.
