Audemars Piguet 18kt Gold "Disco Volante" or "Flying Saucer" Reference 5093 Wristwatch, c. 1955, engine-turned bezel with hour indications, ivory dial with printed stick indices, cross-hair, gilt stick hand set, inset crown, hidden lugs, case back marked "37990," 17-jewel manual-wind caliber 2003 movement with AYP import marking, serial number 97002, signed Audemars Piguet leather strap and 18kt gold buckle, original leather trifold case and an additional AP leather strap, (lacking buckle), dia. 35 mm.
Note: The caliber 2003 was introduced in 1953 and was the thinnest caliber at its time. It was used by Audemars Piguet for a half century.Condition
