- Lot Description
Arthur Clifton Goodwin (American, 1866-1929)
Coastal Cliffs with Panoramic Sky. Signed "A.C. Goodwin" l.l., numbered "G205" on the tacking edge and on the stretcher, also numbered "31892-Z" on the stretcher. Oil on canvas, 18 x 24 in., unframed. Condition: Abrasion with paint loss to c.r. edge, scattered abrasions along the top edge, some vertical striation in the l.c., surface grime.
Provenance: Estate of the artist, to a private collection, to the current owner.Condition
Condition: The vertical striations in the lower center appear to be brush marks, but the ridges have suffered some minor paint losses which make that area appear abraded. The work has subtle coloration that would benefit from surface cleaning.
