Note: Designed for B&B Italia in 1986, Antonio Citterio's Sity sofa system was awarded Italy's most prestigious design award, the Compasso D'Oro, in 1987. The. B&B's founder, Piero Ambrogio Busnell, once said, "The Sity defined an era. It marked the beginning of a new era in which people began to stretch out. The Sity is made specifically to stretch out in. Home is for resting. Relaxing." One of the world's most respected designers, Citterio produced work for Flexform, Flos, Herm?s, Iittala, Kartell, Maxalto, and Vitra.
Condition
Condition: Very Good to excellent condition with very little use by its single owner, who purchased it from B&B Italia in New York City in the late 1980s. Previous owner used it in a formal living room, which saw very little use. Slight wear to one corner and a few tiny paint spots on the back of one corner.
