Sunlit View Along the Canale di San Marco, Venice
Signed "Marc Aldine" l.l.
Oil on canvas, 19 3/4 x 25 5/8 in. (50.0 x 65.0 cm), framed.
Condition: Patch reinforcements corresponding to small areas of retouch on the front, minor frame abrasion along top edge.
N.B. Marc Aldine was a pseudonym for the Bouvard family of painters. The head of this painting family was father, Antoine, who began the Marc Aldine tradition.
Please note that the painting is in a new frame, but the original frame accompanies the lot.Condition
Condition: The current frame is a modern reproduction frame, measuring 28 1/2 x 34 1/8 x 2 1/4 inches.
The painting is accompanied by the original frame, measuring 29 1/4 x 35 x 3 1/2 in.
The painting has been professionally restored and is in good condition.
